In Te Maunga we have been learning about Kowhaiwhai patterns and doing some Pepeha Art. First we drew our maunga/awa in our book as a practice. Then we had to get a piece of paper and copy the drawing onto the piece of paper. Later, we drew on some kowhawhai patterns with a pencil. After all that, we had to write a whakatauki on our art. My whakatauki said “Kia mau ki te tokanga nui a noho” meaning there's no place like home. I tried hard to keep inside the lines.
